Miranda Lamendola is outraged after finding a pig locked inside a scorching hot car with nothing else, no food or water. She came saw the pig in a parking lot in a shopping mall in Jacksonville Florida. It was a record breaking 101 degrees for the day outside and inside, it reached up to 120 degrees!
As Miranda looked closer, she saw that the pig was in distress because she saw some foams on its mouth and was on the ground, shaking and Miranda thought that the pig was about to die in about 5 minutes because she was suffocating from the heat. It was then that she knew she had to do something to get that poor little pig out of the hot car!
The 25-year-old said she called mall security and 911. The officer wasted no time, broke the window, got the pig, gave it some water and put the pig to safety. They were just in the nick of time to save the poor animal.
An hour later, the owners of the pig came out of the mall and were arrested right away for animal cruelty. The pig was then confiscated from the owners and was moved to a farm under the custody of Animal Care and Protective Services where it was living its happy animal life.
