One house was burning on fire in Canton, Ohio and one concerned neighbor immediately called 911 for help. Firefighters swiftly arrived and found a smoke-filled house. The concerned neighbor told the firefighters that an older woman and a senior dog may be trapped inside.
The firefighters quickly went in action to search and rescue the people inside. The older woman, fortunately, was at the doctor’s office during the time of the incident. However, her dog, Dolly, was inside the house.
When the firefighters rescued Dolly, the poor pup had difficulties in breathing and her eyes were not responsive. It was then that the firefighters immediately resuscitated the poor dog by giving her an oxygen mask. Fire Officers Deirling and Evans patiently waited until Dolly gained consciousness.
The officers gave Dolly some water and patiently waited until the pup regained her strength and was able to stand and walk again on her own.
Dolly, a 14-year old dog, is currently staying with her owner at a nearby hotel as they restore their house. Dolly and her owner may have lost their house, but still have their home – in the arms of each other.
