A poor pup was found badly burned, hurt, and abandoned inside a Walmart bag, thrown in a dumpster. Alejandra Espinoza Zazueta was working in a jewelry store when her mother saw some people gathered around a dumpster with the poor dog tied inside the shopping bag.
Finding Hope, the poor pup, was not the first animal cruelty reported in Coachella, California. A month ago, Deborah Sue Culwell was accused of animal cruelty to 7 puppies who were tied inside a shopping bag and left for death in a dumpster.
Zazueta told People that her mother immediately called her. The puppy was them immediately transported to a local vet and was in close and extensive treatment. With the poor dog’s severe third degree burns all over her weak body, they didn’t know if the poor soul would ever make it. All they could do is HOPE.
Brian McGrath, the owner of the vet clinic where Hope was confined, confirmed that the burns were intentional. McGrath further explained that the dog is very weak and is in need of 24/7 treatment. The dog is positively responding with her medication.
After close monitoring with Hope’s health, McGrath revealed that Hope might be paralyzed on her hind legs. But Zazueta insisted that she is very much willing to give Hope everything she needs, “She has a home and we’re waiting for her eagerly,” Zazueta added. “We have everything [for her], we’re ready, and we’re just waiting for the day that they call us and say we can go pick her up.”
Hope’s new family is doing the best they can to give her a forever and loving home. The community of Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation also continues to look for the culprit behind Hope’s sad incident. Hope’s case is their top priority and they’re offering $10k reward for anyone who can point to the one responsible for this crime.
Zazueta, Hope’s new mom, vows to give the pup a loving home which she deserves. She only wants the best for Hope and make her feel that the world is not as cruel as she thought it would be. Hope, is a fighter, indeed! Here’s a video of her on her legs. After all, she does not needing a wheelchair anymore!
